QZSS+GPS Ephemeris DataEphemeris

QZSS+GPS Ephemeris DataOutline

Ephemeris is a set of data that depicts the precise trajectory of each satellite.

It is used to calculate the fine position of the satellite from which the ephemeris was broad casted.

QZSS+GPS Ephemeris DataDefinition

The abstract of the ephemeris parameters are written below.

Consult the "RINEX 2.12 QZSS extention" specification for more information.(*revised:2011/06/29)

M0

Mean Anomaly at Reference Time

Angle (arc) traveled past the longitude of ascending node (value = 0±180 degrees).

If the value exceeds 180 degrees, subtract 360 degrees to find the mean anomaly.

When the SV has passed perigee and heading towards apogee, the mean anomaly is positive.

After the point of apogee, the mean anomaly value will be negative to the point of perigee.

Δn

Mean motion difference from computed value

Velocity correction term in order to calculate the correct Mean Anomaly at reference time.

e

Eccentricity

This shows the amount of the orbit deviation from circular (orbit).

√A

Square Root of Semi-Major Axis

This is defined as the measurement from the center of the orbit to either the point of apogee or the point of perigee.

Ω0

Longitude of Ascending Node of Orbit Plane at Weekly Epoch

Right Ascension is an angular measurement from the vernal equinox ((OMEGA)0).

i0

Inclination Angle at Reference Time

ω

Argument of Perigee

An angular measurement along the orbital path measured from the ascending node to the point of perigee, measured in the direction of the SV's motion.

Ωdot

Rate of Right Ascension

Rate of change in the measurement of the angle of right ascension as defined in the Right Ascension mnemonic.

IDOT

Rate of inclination angle

Cuc

Amplitude of the Cosine Harmonic Correction Term to the Argument of Latitude

Cus

Amplitude of the Sine Harmonic Correction Term to the Argument of Latitude

Crc

Amplitude of the Cosine Harmonic Correction Term to the Orbit Radius

Crs

Amplitude of the Sine Harmonic Correction Term to the Orbit Radius

Cic

Amplitude of the Cosine Harmonic Correction Term to the Angle of Inclination

Cis

Amplitude of the Sine Harmonic Correction Term to the Angle of Inclination

IODE

Ephemeris Issue of Data. Used to uniquely identify the current set of navigation data.

Correction terms to the clock

Ephemeris file also includes correction terms to the clock as listed below.

Toe

Reference time of Ephemeris

SV clock bias

SV clock bias in seconds.

SV clock drift

SV clock drift in seconds per seconds.

SV clock drift rate

Rate of the SV clock drift
